DW appliances online is a family run business based in Stockport, Manchester.

The owner started working in the trade from school back in 1996 refurbishing cookers for his father’s company. After training in the repair and renovation of Washing machines, Cookers, Washer dryers and Tumble dryers, Discount Washers was founded in 2006.

Our first step started with a small workshop and a plot on Smithfield Market in Manchester from which to sell our appliances from, we did this for around 4 years but quickly outgrew this as our workload and customer base grew so we had to look for our first showroom. This was opened up in North Reddish in 2010 and became the cornerstone of the business. As business grew more we inevitably outgrew the shop and had to relocate to bigger premises, we found a great showroom in the centre of Reddish and we have been there until this year.

Unfortunately though since Covid 19 hit, like all other businesses on the high street, we saw a massive decline in footfall and passing trade in our shop and on top of that our landlord decided to sell the buildings and the new owner was to demolish and rebuild apartments on the plot, so with all of this in mind and as most of our trade was now online anyway we decided to move with the times and become an online only trader.

This has been a great decision as it has allowed us to streamline our business costs and pass on those savings to you. So while everyone else’s prices have risen, ours have fallen and we are able to offer massive discounts on the appliances we sell. So having been in Reddish, Stockport for over 16 years we have stayed local to the area in our new workshop and distribution centre.

Our team has remained exactly the same so you can still call us on our usual number and speak to actual human beings, you can call us regarding stock enquiries or to book a repair the same way as you’ve always done, the only difference now is by being here, you’re already in our shop. So that being said we would like to take this opportunity to thank our long served existing customers and also welcome our ever growing new customers to our family.
